Considering building a new home or commercial space but you don’t know where to start or what the process is of doing so? If you aren’t sure what details should be included in your new building project, we’re here to help make the puzzle a little easier to understand. We assist clients with new building projects regularly whether they’re for residential or commercial purposes. The process of planning and building a new project is one that should be done with professional care and attention to detail to ensure safety and security of the building and those who use it.
The planning process is the most delicate of the building process as a whole. New construction always requires that a planning process be implemented so that schedules can be made, supplies can be ordered, and the project itself can be implemented smoothly. The planning process includes obtaining building permits, clearing the land available, checking for existing issues in the area, and securing the space off to ensure uninterrupted work sites. The planning process will also require blueprints of the building to be made, types of materials used, and cost estimates for the tools, building materials, and labor.
In preparing for the new construction project, we must then carry out objectives to build the structure as a whole. This includes clearing land, building a foundation, drainage and plumbing systems, and much more. Only when a team and worksite is completely prepared can a project then begin to take off smoothly and without troubles. We want to ensure that our work sites are completely prepared prior to starting the project so that we’re able to give more accurate timelines for completion of the project, as we know clients are eager to use their new property for residential or commercial purposes.
Once the project has been planned and the space has been prepared, we will then begin building the foundation for the new construction project. The foundation is the most important part of the building itself as it requires delicate planning to accommodate its function and the land available. When a foundation has not been built correctly, it may soon start to sink or tilt over time as the soil beneath it begins to shift. You’ll eventually notice cracking and creaking in the floors, walls, and ceilings, when a foundation has not been installed securely and properly. Our foundation building is done by excavating the soil beneath the work space to create an even and balanced land surface to begin building the foundation on.
